Sharon Minhas, holds a M.Ed from the University of Alberta, specializing in Language and Literacy with a focus on English Language Learners. She is lifelong learner and very passionate about supporting students to succeed in the classroom. Her own personal experience growing up as an ELL uniquely positions her to intimately understand the unique challenges and inner workings of how to work with English Language Learners.
She is currently an ESL Consultant with Edmonton Public Schools and has worked primarily as an elementary classroom teacher for 12 years. Her experience as a classroom teacher also includes instructing a sheltered ESL class at the junior high level.
She has been in her current role as an ESL Consultant for the past 6 years, supporting teachers within Edmonton Public Schools with effective strategies and programming supports for ELL supports.
