An English teacher originally, Janet's career evolved over the years from classroom consultant, co-leading edtech integration across the province as a member of the 2Learn.ca and ARPDC provincial teams, to school and district leadership as the Department Head at Lillian Osborne High School and TIPS (Technology Integration and Planning Supports) Consultant with Edmonton Public Schools. A Google Certified Trainer and SMART Certified Trainer, these days Janet brings both vision and practical strategies to help support your integration of G Suite and SMART Learning Suite, reputable third-party applications, makerspaces, digital citizenship and more, within today's emergent and shifting learning spaces. In her spare time, she enjoys the four generations of her family.

AllWhen the lines between parenting and teaching become increasingly blurred, let’s help parents:
- gain the literacy themselves to understand their child’s online interactions on computers and iDevices and the impact of these interactions beyond the screen
- learn how to best set up their child for success within whatever our “classroom” looks like
- get a basic understanding of the tools we’re using to facilitate learning so they can help students when required
- support their child’s growth to becoming an aware and digitally fluent digital citizen
Join this hosted conversation to determine what has worked well in your school and how we can create more mindful strategies moving forward
All learning opportunities with the ERLC regional team will focus on the Alberta Education and district priority areas.
