Learning Opportunities

As we transform teaching and learning in Alberta, teachers are expected to evaluate the curricular  outcomes that have not yet been covered, prioritize remaining outcomes based on what is manageable for students working from home.  This session helps teachers identify the driving (or key) concepts in curricular outcomes to ensure we’re focussing on the big ideas.  

Teachers will gain deeper understanding of 

• concepts and examples of concepts
• micro and macro concepts
• driving concepts (or key concepts) 
• how to identify driving concepts  in Alberta curriculum outcomes
