Michele Jones is the lead consultant for curriculum implementation and wellness education for the Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium. She became a Concept -Based Curriculum and Instruction trainer in the summer of 2019. Michele’s work involves supporting districts and schools in transforming teaching and learning with a focus on student achievement. Her depth and breadth of knowledge combined with her work in multiple educational contexts over the last 20 years make her a great choice for leading professional learning opportunities. AllInterested in having a professional conversation about the inquiry process and instructional strategies in Rachel French and Carla Marschall’s book “Concept Based Inquiry” ? Join Concept Based Curriculum and Instruction trainer Michele Jones for an in-depth discussion of the phases of concept-based inquiry.
Participants are responsible for purchasing their own books. Participants will also be expected to become a member of the Concept-Basied Inquiry Google Classroom. Closer to the first bookstudy meeting, ERLC will email registered participants the details for signing up for google classroom and accessing pre-meeting questions.
Each registered participant will be expected to read the following chapters before the following dates:
Feb 24: Chapter 1-3
March 3: Chapters 4-6
March 11: Chapter 7-10
