Anita Sterne has a passion for Reggio inspired pedagogy and its relation to inquiry and play-facilitated learning. The foundation of her work rests on the Reggio concept of having a strong image of the child: A mighty learner & citizen – strong, resourceful, capable; rich with wonder, full of imagination; creative, playful, adventurer! She loves using an emergent curriculum with her Kindergarten learners, which offers the opportunity for exciting new concepts to be explored in response to learner interests. With over 15 years of experience as a classroom educator, and having taught in both Canada and New Zealand, she brings an interesting flair to early years programming. The door to the learning space she shares with her learners is always open, as she is eager to share and co-create ideas with others using a relaxed and inviting approach.
