Melanie Sicotte trained to become a Speech Language Pathologist at McGill University. She is currently a member of Renfrew Educational Services’ multi-disciplinary specialty Assistive Technology (AT) Team supporting students 2.5 to 19 years old attending independent and public schools and their families and school teams.
Melanie has strong interests in the areas of: Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) use by preschoolers and emerging communicators; mentoring AAC specialists, teachers and generalist therapists who work with children and youth using AAC; capacity building for the adults, children and youth in the lives of AAC-using children and youth; AAC and Autism Spectrum Disorder; and advocating for AAC and AT services for children and youth and their families and classroom teams.
Shaun Pearson is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist for Renfrew Educational Services. He is passionate about helping his clients of all ages improve their communication skills.
Shaun obtained his Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from McGill University. He has since demonstrated a devotion to ongoing professional development, by attending a variety of conferences and workshops on a regular basis.
Shaun is also enthusiastic about providing consultation and training on a range of topics, particularly those related to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
