Heather van Streun is the Educational Technology Consultant with Elk Island Catholic Schools. She loves sharing her love of learning and taking chances to create engaging and inquisitive learning environments. She is currently working on her Interdisciplinary Masters in Education, currently in the focus of Neuroscience and is also a Certified Google Trainer. When she isn't immersed in the Ed Tech world, she can be found on the volleyball court, behind the sewing machine, or having fun with her husband Simon, daughter Matilda and dog Frodo Barkins.

AllThis professional learning session will provide educators and opportunity to use effective digital tools to showcase student learning. We will explore evidence of learning as a way to communicate a student’s strengths and areas of growth aligned with the curricular outcomes and competencies. As well as focus on a variety of ways to design and use digital portfolios in your class.
The learning outcomes for this session will be to develop a deeper understanding around:
- The purpose of Evidence of learning
- Why use a Digital Portfolio
- Some of the digital tools available to create portfolios and share Evidence of Learning
