The Calgary and Area RCSD is offering this Summer Symposium in Calgary  for teachers and teams who will be new to supporting children or youth who are blind or visually impaired in the 2019/2020 school year, set in the context of the Regional Collaborative Service Delivery (RCSD) model.


Participants can expect to learn about the Expanded Core curriculum which emphasizes the following: Concept development, Orientation and mobility, Fostering independence, Social interactions, Life skills, Visual efficiency skills, Print reading and writing, Braille instruction, Specialized math instruction & Technology access.

This one day session will provide you with a broad array of hands-on activities, practical knowledge and skills development to promote academic success for your students.
