Learning Opportunities

This session will create an awareness of concept-based curriculum theory and how it differs from a knowledge-skills-attitudes (KSA) approach to promoting that students Know, Understand and can Do (KUD) an action based on their learning of curriculum outcomes.

Participants will also begin to develop a working knowledge of the architecture and design of Alberta’s new concept-based curriculum, including the identification of conceptual and procedural knowledge, competencies as well as literacy and numeracy references.
