Kate is the statewide staff development Coordinator at TSBVI. She has developed numerous webinars on Active Learning. She bases her work on the findings and research of Dr. Lilli Nielsen and uses it to teach most any content at a developmentally appropriate level for students who are in the sensorimotor and pre-operational stages of learning.

Her work explores active learning in an inclusive setting with a focus on students with multiple challenges including those who are deafblind. She will review teaching content at a developmentally appropriate level for students who are in the sensorimotor and pre-operational stages of learning.
