‘Good teaching’ strategies are often effective in helping our ELLs progress but what can we do to make sure we are targeting instruction to meet their unique needs?

This interactive session, will draw upon Sheltered Instruction principles (e.g., SIOP®), as well as the ERLC’s ELL planning model, which was developed with second language acquisition in mind.

You will have time to explore foundational components to supporting ELLs in mainstream classes and come away with a rich set of tools, resources, and learning activities that you can use to target ELL instruction in a manageable way while still enabling you to teach outcomes to the whole class.

Target Audience
