This learning opportunity will provide information and practical strategies to support the literacy learning of students with significant cognitive disabilities. The focus of this workshop will be on getting students started with writing through instructional planning and approaches that support emergent and early conventional literacy in writing, including assessment to guide instruction, predictable chart writing, independent writing, and alternative pencils.
