Tourette Syndrome (TS) and its related disorders can manifest as behaviors that often appear to be purposefully disruptive, attention seeking or manipulative. It is therefore not unusual to misinterpret symptoms of TS as behavioural problems rather than the neurological symptoms that they are.

You will learn about Tourette Syndrome and its frequently associated disorders (OCD, ADHD, LD, etc.) and how these disorders can affect learning and impact the student. Behavioural symptoms and common learning challenges for students with TS will be discussed and ideas and strategies will be provided to help the student with TS succeed.
