Shaun Pearson, M.Sc.A, R.SLP, S-LP(C) has been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist for four years, with a current specialization in assistive technology. Clinically, he works with a variety of students using various forms of augmentative and alternative communication, supporting students in a wide variety of educational settings. He is familiar with high tech devices and iPads, as well as a variety of low tech and paper based options. Shaun has been a TouchChat Certified Trainer since January 2016.

AllTouchChat is a full-featured communication solution for individuals who have difficulty using their natural voice. TouchChat is designed for individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, ALS, apraxia, stroke, or other conditions that affect a person's ability to use natural speech.
This is full-day TouchChat training include:
- Review of all language sets/program options available in TouchChat (word power, gateway, quick chat, my chat, talk-about-aac) - discussion on selecting vocabulary sets for different needs
- Detailed information about editing and customizing vocabulary sets – with hands on examples
- Tips for editing on a computer and Ipad and transferring programming between devices
- Using IShare to back up system
- Troubleshooting issues related to TouchChat – staff would be encouraged to bring specific challenges/issues they have faced
- Using paper/low tech backup & supportive systems
- Strategies & ideas to build capacity for staff working with children using TouchChat on IPads & communication devices
- Case studies/consultations as time permits
