AllIn this interactive session, you will engage in activities that build an understanding of and foundational practices for collaborative consulting in schools to support the needs of diverse learners. The application of models and strategies for effective collaboration with educators will be explored. This includes facilitating collaborative consultation by navigating the Pyramid of Intervention and using Stages of Change model to facilitate change though questions and honouring expertise of all.
The presenters are from the Peace Collaborative Services (PCS) Team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. For several years Peace Collaborative Services has focused on using change theory and pyramid of intervention in order to collaboratively work with educators to support student success, including students with specialized services. Using these foundational practices and approaches, PCS Team members have successfully collaborated educators in schools of various sizes across multiple school districts to build capacity and foster student success.
