One of the most difficult assessment instruments to construct well, is the multiple-choice question.  Poorly made multiple-choice can demonstrate numerous problems including a focus on trivial knowledge and offering unintended “cues” to the correct answers.

This session begins with guidance as to how to make high-quality questions and how to use item analysis to provide valuable formative information about student understandings and misconceptions.

The remainder of the session provides you with time to put learning to practice!

You are asked to bring current questions to the session as time is allotted to revise and/or build new question with the presenter offering assistance as requested.
