AllEven when teachers, therapists, and other team members have the opportunity to learn about best practices in AAC, many find it challenging to successfully implement AAC as a team. Those implementing AAC may become comfortable with selecting appropriate systems, acquiring those systems and even customizing them, but can feel somewhat lost when it comes to supporting AAC implementation consistently across the educational environment. In this webinar, we will review creative ideas and resources for encouraging and supporting AAC implementation as a cohesive educational team (with a focus on core vocabulary principles and aided language stimulation).
Target Audience
Teachers, SLPs, Para-educators and teams who serve children and youth with complex communication needs. Additional team members including OTs, Administrators, Assistive Technology Staff and Parents of students who have communication systems are encouraged to attend.
