Would you like to learn how to teach students to apply their knowledge resulting in deep understanding and student engagement? Do you want your students to think about topics and facts in terms of their transferable significance? How can you engage your students in making connections to other learnings and seek personalized learning?

Competency-focused teaching and learning is the answer! Attend this full day workshop to learn how to support your students in applying Alberta’s 8 competencies to their learning in ways that result in the deep and meaningful application of knowledge. Learn how to shift seemlessly between direct instruction and to being a facilitator of learning, as well as how students will need to shift from receiving knowledge to thinking about and applying knowledge.

Be prepared to engage in discussion, reflection and your own application of the competencies!
