Dr. David Carter has been an educator for 35 years, having worked as a grade 6 and 7 teacher, a learning assistance teacher for grades K-7, a school psychologist for grades K-12, Director of Instruction (Student Support Services) in Central Okanagan School District #23, and most recently Director of Instruction (Student Support Services) in Surrey School District #36. Dave "semi retired" in 2005, and teaches courses for UBC, SFU, does psycho-educational evaluations, and consults to the B.C. Ministry of Education and the Attorney General of B.C.

3. The principles of standardized testing:
- Provincial, national and international standards
- Ethical test selection and use
- Understanding measurement statistics
- Understanding T-scores, Z-scores, percentile rank equivalents, age equivalents
- How to compare standard scores
- Interpreting test scores to parents, teachers and children
4. Pragmatic issues in test administration:
- Choosing standardized tests
- Establishing basals and ceilings
- Scoring standardized tests with precision
- Meeting District and Alberta Education guidelines
You will receive a Certificate of Completion indicating that you have completed 25 hours of training in Level B Assessment provided by Dr. Dave Carter, which is accepted as proof of Level B competence.
