Learning Opportunities

It is a given that teachers can’t work any harder to make every student successful. But perhaps by looking at teaching/learning strategies that are supported by research to have a positive impact on student learning, teachers can reach all learners. John Hattie in Making Learning Visible tells teachers to “Know thy impact” meaning teachers need to know which strategies have the biggest impact on student learning.

This session will present key teaching and learning strategies that engage students in their learning and are effective in moving student learning forward. You will leave with easy-to-use strategies to engage students, improve student participation and document student thinking.
