Assessment Leadership. What might these words mean to you? Whether you have questions about ways to support adults to learn more about quality assessment practices or are certain about how to lead schools or systems to deep levels of implementation, this session is for you.

Throughout the day, we will:

  • Consider indicators of assessment in the service of student, adult, school, and system learning.
  • Share ways that we have supported educators to put quality assessment strategies into practice and to learn about even more ways to do this.
  • Explore the intentional modelling of assessment action within our own leadership practice.
  • Learn about how to give high degrees of feedback to adults in order to feed their learning forward.

Not only will you contribute to the learning of others in the room through the use of protocols, but you will also have opportunities to reflect on your own leadership practice and plan for the upcoming school year. Examples, video clips, and accounts from leaders across many Canadian jurisdictions will be used to both provoke and extend our shared learning.

Plan to attend this practical and thought-provoking day of learning.
