This webinar will provide an overview of the intervention outcomes of two clinical research studies with toddlers and their parents. It will describe the role of receptive and expressive language skills in early language intervention, the importance of speech generating devices (SGD) in augmented language interventions, parents’ role in augmented language interventions, and the role of augmented language interventions in speech development.

Target Audience

Teachers, SLPs, Para-educators and teams who serve children and youth with complex communication needs. Additional team members including OTs, Administrators, Assistive Technology Staff and Parents of students who have communication systems are encouraged to attend.
