For some students, the choice to complete high school is wrought with barriers. How can we design this exit so that students feel supported in addressing their needs and reasons for leaving as they exit, and so that their re-entry is a hopeful part of the exit conversation? When students who have left the school setting return to school, how can we create a plan for re-entry that will support their successful high school completion and address their needs? A newly released resource, Supporting High School Completion: A Tool Kit For Success, offers tools for educators and their partners to facilitate collaborative conservations when supporting students at risk of not completing high school.

Learn how to use tools in the Tool Kit to leverage existing resources and initiatives in reimagining how you address relevance, rigor, and social belonging while enhancing natural support networks for learners in your schools. Consider how you can increase and extend collaborative partnerships within your school, with other schools, and with community partners to maximise collective impact in supporting successful continued engagement in school for vulnerable students.

As well, learn how to use tools in this resource to facilitate thorough and thoughtful planning conversations with students, families, and community partners to support vulnerable students.

Talk with colleagues about the strategies they are currently using to support vulnerable students.
