Adrienne Gear has been teaching in the Vancouver School District for over 25 years. Passionate about literacy and learning, Adrienne continues to teach two days a week, as well as present workshops and demonstration lessons in districts across the province. She is the author of the four professional books for teachers on reading and writing instruction for elementary grades and is the co-author of a book for Secondary teachers. Adrienne lives in Vancouver, B.C. with her husband and their two teenage sons.

AllJoin B.C. educator and author, Adrienne Gear for a dynamic and practical workshop on Writing Power.
In this session, Adrienne will share her ideas for setting up an effective process-based writing program that includes weekly practice writes, writing goals, mini lessons and editing and conferencing tips. She will also share her ideas around effective, formative assessment and conferencing strategies.
Adrienne will model lessons, share student samples and, as always, share her favorite anchor books for inspiring students to write.

Adrienne’s books will be available to purchase on site at the workshop. Cost is $27.50 per book (includes tax). Credit, check and cash is accepted.
