AllAlberta Education has defined numeracy as the ability, confidence and willingness to engage with quantitative or spatial information to make informed decisions in all aspects of daily living.
What does this mean? Now that the Numeracy Learning Progressions are out, how does it affect you in the classroom? How do we use them to move numeracy forward? Who shares the responsibility for the learning?
During this session, we will establish ways in which we can recognize and celebrate numeracy across all subjects and we will work on developing strategies for including and supporting numeracy in your classrooms and schools everyday.
