You will deepen your own knowledge and understanding of Treaties and participate in interactive activities that could be replicated in classrooms that reveal the theme: “We are All Treaty People.”  The activities are designed to support students in making a personal connection to the importance of the Treaties in their everyday lives, their identity as Canadians and  the very ground they walk on. These deeper understandings and connections will allow students to think critically and conceptualize their own role in ensuring the Treaties are maintained “... as long as the rivers flow” and how honouring the spirit and intent of the Treaties is essential to justice, fairness, and reconciliation as a nation.
