AllFun is an important ingredient needed to maximize participation and encourage physical activity. In fact, engaging in fun activities sparks interest, cultivates joy, and promotes lifelong participation, which all contribute to the development of physical literacy.
In this morning presentation, Tracy will provide a ton of activity ideas to teach fundamental movement and sport skills, which will also serve as a guide for planning for a fun, challenging and active learning environment. The activities shared will be acquired from the new resource: Focus on FUNdamentals and you will leave with sample cards to use right away.
Purposefully choosing activities that encourage play can establish the basis for life-long participation. This afternoon interACTIVE session will focus on activities that promote positive social interactions, develop fundamental movement skills, foster confidence, inspire creative self-expression and support multidisciplinary experiences. This includes making connections to curricular outcomes that infuse more play into your day.
