Teaching is hard work. With busy days, active students, and jam-packed schedules, it can be difficult for teachers to find time for wellness; but making wellness a priority can create a positive classroom community.

The first part of this workshop will explore practical ways of maintaining good personal health, managing stress, and creating a healthy and vibrant workplace that will prepare you to teach at your best. But when teachers are ready to teach, students must also be ready to learn. The second part of this workshop will explore strategies, tools and resources for enhancing wellness in your classroom.

Come and discover how to help all students feel welcomed, cared for, supported, safe, and ready to learn. We will discuss how practices such as establishing daily routines, stating clear expectations, and design of the learning environment can all influence student success.
