AllResilience can be defined as the ability to cope with life’s disappointments, challenges, and pain. Whether it’s solving problems, bouncing back from adversity or reaching out to new opportunities, we all need to practice being resilient! Teachers play a pivotal role in helping students develop the 21st-century survival skill of being resilient. The key to teaching these skills is to provide numerous opportunities for students to practice being resilient!
This session will focus on developing your own ‘go to’ list for resilient practice strategies and opportunities. After a short introduction to what is resiliency, and what it looks like in your students, you will begin to build your own teaching strategy tool box. You should be prepared to share, to listen and provide feedback throughout the session.
