Dr. Stephen von Tetzchner is renowned in the field of AAC for his work leading a multidisciplinary international project involving 16 countries, "Becoming an aided communicator: Aided language skills in children aged 5-15 years - a multi-site and cross-cultural investigation", on language development in children who use communication aids. This summer, at the International Society of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC) in Toronto, he was named an ISAAC Fellow.
Dr. von Tetzchner has written extensively about language and language development in augmented communicators. His work includes scores of peer reviewed papers, several book chapters (including von Tetzchner, Stephen & Stadskleiv, Kristine (2016).
