AllSchools and districts are expected to develop and publish annual school improvement plans. Successful planning and implementation is possible when all education stakeholders share responsibility to address seven essential conditions – shared vision, leadership, research and evidence, resources, teacher professional growth, time, and community engagement - within a culture of learning.
This one day workshop will share a practical, “how-to” guide to school improvement planning, based on the seven essential conditions outlined in the document A Guide to Support Implementation: Essential Conditions. You will have the opportunity to reflect on and respond to guiding questions to support implementation planning that intentionally addresses these seven essential conditions. You will reflect on and identify a variety of implementation strategies as well as consider who will be responsible for what, by when and at what cost.
You will also begin to establish what evidence you will accept that the essential conditions have been addressed. Implementation planning templates and tools focused on addressing each of the essential conditions will be provided.
You are encouraged to attend in school/district teams that represent the various stakeholders within your learning community as well as bring relevant data and any preliminary/draft planning documents.
