Donna Brown, Janice Comrie and Keri Devlin have been alongside young children and families throughout their teaching careers. Together, they have over 60 years of experience teaching in classrooms (Pre-K to Grade 2); travelling in and out of a variety of community settings to support the inclusion of children with special rights; as well as learning alongside multi-discipline teams in order to collaborate and creatively plan for all learners. Through their varied roles, they have discovered their passion for teaching and learning outdoors and designing environments that foster a sense of comfort, joy, and love for learning.
Donna and Keri have recently traveled to Italy as participants in The Third International Summer School (2015) The Reggio Emilia Approach: Quality Education to Feed the Planet. With joy, anticipation and possibility for learning, they are currently joining an Edmonton Public School team of educators, to co-create a new school community that will embrace and hold dear Roberta MacAdams’ values of community, courage, commitment and compassion!
Janice traveled to Italy to attend the Ontario Reggio Emilia Association's Study Tour in May 2015 and is excited about the new opportunity to continue to grow and learn during her upcoming secondment to Alberta Education in the area of Early Childhood Development.
