AllAs Alberta Education works to develop future kindergarten to grade 12 provincial curriculum, this session will provide you with an opportunity to increase your understanding of the intent and process for this engagement project.
There will be an opportunity to:
- engage in the Social Studies conversations with teachers from other school districts
- gain a deeper understanding of the curriculum development process
- be a part of a collaborative discussion to share perceived strengths and gaps in current programs of study
- enrich their responses to the survey questions

- Welcome and Introductions
- Overview of Alberta’s Curriculum Development Process (Powerpoint Slides)
- Introduction to the Online Provincial Needs Assessment Survey
- Facilitated Discussion and Collaborative Conversations Focusing on Subject Disciplines and Survey Questions
- Closing Remarks
