Lee Makovichuk and Nancy Thomas are faculty members with MacEwan University Early Learning and Child Care Program, and members of the curriculum framework development team. Nancy's previous role as a teaching partner has informed her notions of early childhood pedagogy and how children build theories of their worlds. Lee's previous role as a kindergarten teacher, where she experienced living curricula with young children is the basis for her current position teaching early childhood curriculum courses. In addition to teaching, both Lee and Nancy continue with the framework research and development working with educators using the framework to guide their daily work.

AllThe idea of an early learning curriculum framework may provoke many questions:
- What is it?
- How is it different than traditional school curriculum?
- How can it shape practice with young children?
In this interactive session, Nancy and Lee will engage you with real stories of curriculum-in-action. Using the framework holistic goals and dispositions to learn, you will have an opportunity to experience how children’s care, play and learning is curriculum, and how Play, Participation, and Possibilities can support educators to reflect on and expand on children’s experiences.
