In the Invent to Learn book, authors Martinez and Stage clearly describe "learning through engagement, design and building. The only way to understand circles is to reinvent the wheel.

This session will offer insights and suggestions as to how to bring making, creating and designing into the classroom. You will engage with various ideas, resources and interactive opportunities. Learn how to guide students towards a more dynamic and growth mindset that highlights various competencies, cross-curricular connections and nourishes ideas. Be ready to create!

Target Audience

Grades 3-12 Teachers, Learning Coaches, Inclusion Specialists/Facilitators, Literacy Coaches, Library Specialists and Administrators

Please bring a couple of WiFi-enabled devices with you (if possible) such as an iPad (iPad 3rd gen or newer, any iPad Mini) and a Chromebook/laptop.
