AllThe Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium (ERLC) has created multiple opportunities for you to visit schools during the 2016-2017 school year in Edmonton and surrounding areas who are transitioning their school library to a Learning Commons.
At this session, you will experience the transformation of a traditional library into an open "Learning Commons" space, whereby multi aged groupings are exploring and applying knowledge, skills and attitudes that create an authentic learning experience. A brief presentation that includes documentation of the transformation and the "thought process" behind the vision will be provided.
There will be time for questions with school staff, opportunities to network with others and time to begin planning for the transformation of your school library to reflect a Learning Commons philosophy to support and enrich student learning.
