AllThe Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium (ERLC) has created multiple opportunities for you to visit schools during the 2016-2017 school year in Edmonton and surrounding areas who are transitioning their school library to a Learning Commons.
The staff at Keheewin will share the vision of what a Learning Commons can look like at the elementary level, including a discussion of the collection, the space and how it is used, the physical set-up, the technology in use, their Makerspace, and the way in which they incorporate collaboration and inquiry in their school.
There will be time for questions with school staff, opportunities to network with others and time to begin planning for the transformation of your school library to reflect a Learning Commons philosophy to support and enrich student learning.
