Research shows that formative assessment has the power to significantly improve student learning. This learning opportunity, designed for educators of Grades 3-8, will give you the models and strategies you need to successfully implement effective formative assessment in order to guide future instruction, engage students and move student learning forward.

You will explore a variety of formative assessment strategies that provide quick and easy ways to see if your students grasp the concept you are teaching.   You will also get ideas on how to use this evidence to inform teaching and support student learning and reflect upon ways to structure classrooms in order to allow for high quality formative assessment to occur.

You will leave with a toolkit of easy to use strategies for implementing formative assessments in your own classroom.
