Siobhan Murphy is on secondment at the Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium, working primarily in the area of literacy. Her past teaching experience includes teaching at the elementary and junior high levels. Siobhan completed her Master's degree in education at the University of Alberta focusing her research project on assessment for learning best practices, in particular how rubrics can improve student writing.

There will be opportunities to practice coding and scoring reading assessments as well as, examine how the data can be used to inform classroom instruction. The presenter will share some tips and strategies on how to fit these assessments into your schedule.
