Marian Small speaks all across Canada and the U.S. showing how we can teach more important math, but engage a broader spectrum of learners at the same time. Her book on open questions in math is a National Council of Teachers of Mathematics best-seller.
Her talks and her many publications have proven to be accessible to teachers and educational leaders whether or not they are elementary or secondary teachers. She manages to inspire, but still provides ready to use activities.
She has written over 80 publications, generally as the sole or senior author, for K-12 students and teachers.
Marian Small is the former Dean of Education at the University of New Brunswick.
