AllThis interactive one day workshop will engage you in exploring the newly approved Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) curriculum. This program of studies provides teachers the opportunity to apply the design thinking process to develop high interest, challenge or task based courses. We know deep learning happens when learners encounter experiences that challenge them to figure something out, explore new information, and to produce a product, performance or service.
This session will give you the opportunity to:
- examine approaches for planning and teaching for student collaboration
- explore different pedagogical stances that support the development of a learner-centered approach to CTF
- develop a challenge or task that will meet the essential elements when designing for CTF
Target Audience
Grades 5 - 9 CTF Teachers, Administrators and District Staff
