Aaron Ball is a Maker Space teacher at St. Augustine School. His Masters in Educational Studies centered on the use of video games as inquiry-based learning tools. Aaron loves to live wedged between old tech and the cutting edge. He reaches into the past by working with woodworking hand tools and is ready to jump into the future with 3D printers and the cutting edge.

AllThis will predominantly be a hands on session exploring the tools being used to inspire students’ learning and creativity. We will use 3D Printers, eTextiles, Makey Makeys, Lego Robotics, Green Screens, Stop Motion Animation, and Spheros. We will discuss alternative tools and how they fit into your students’ learning needs. Participants will be given teaching examples to match up with all tools. We will discuss Alberta Learning’s policy and guidelines for Learning Commons and will review Makerspace goals, Growth Indicators, and Standards of Practice.
