Lisa Landry-Jones has been a teacher with Edmonton Public Schools for 19 years. Her teaching experience includes Division 2 and Division 3, mostly in K-9 schools.
Kathleen Durance has been a teacher with Edmonton Public Schools for 17 years. Her teaching experience includes Division 1 and Division 2, in K-9 schools, and sessional courses at the University of Alberta.
Both Kathleen and Lisa hold a Master’s of Education in Language and Literacy with a Reading Specialist designation.
For the last 6 years, Lisa and Kathleen have been Curriculum Coordinators for Literacy and Assessment at Ellerslie Campus in Edmonton. Their school runs as a Professional Learning Community, which has given them opportunities to lead and support their staff in vertically aligning curricular outcomes, creating common formative assessments, implementing reading workshop, and guided reading through professional development and coaching.
