Heather Chyzowski is a Junior High School Principal. She holds a BFA, B.ED, M.ED and is currently pursuing her PhD. in Education Technology. In her spare time, she teaches university education courses and professional development workshops and designs Blended Learning resources. Her research interests include technology integration in the classroom, computer-based & blended learning instruction, development of online professional development programs and virtual teaching teams.

AllCome spend a day looking at ways to enhance technology integration in your classroom. We will discuss the challenges of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model and discuss possible solutions to allow your students to bring devices to class, but to use them responsibly. We will also look at ways to help students refine their search techniques and be good digital citizens.
For a big part of the day, we will explore rich learning experiences such as blended learning, flipped classrooms and innovative inquiry projects. You will be given time to plan a project relevant to your classroom.
Come prepared for an engaging day of learning designed to help you start the school year with a bang.
