AllThe new Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) curriculum provides teachers the opportunity to apply the design thinking process to develop high interest, challenge or task based courses. We know deep learning happens when learners encounter experiences that challenge them to figure something out, explore new information, and to produce a product, performance or service. This session will help you prepare for the new CTF curriculum and will give you the time and resources to develop a CTF challenge or task.
This session will give you the opportunity to:
- explore the key ideas guiding the CTF curriculum
- engage in the process of planning, creating, appraising and communicating
- examine the common elements essential to CTF challenges or tasks that will engage students
- discuss what assessment in CTF could look for your students
- work, connect and collaborate with other CTF teachers
