Christine Quong is on secondment as an Educational Technology Consultant to the Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium. Prior to this, she served as a Collaborative Lead Teacher for Pembina Hills Public Schools where she facilitated and led the professional collaborations among teachers and supported their application of universal design for learning and differentiated instruction. Her 11 years of experience as an educator has been teaching primarily K-6. She recently completed her Master’s of Education in Educational Technology at the University of Alberta.

K-3, 4-6Digital Citizenship needs to be an ongoing conversation with our students. Mike Ribble’s nine elements of digital citizenship provide educators with a framework that organizes the themes of digital citizenship. Ribble’s nine elements are:
- digital etiquette,
- digital access,
- digital law,
- digital communication,
- digital literacy,
- digital commerce,
- digital rights and responsibility,
- digital security and
- digital health and wellness.
In this session, you will learn practical ways to integrate the Nine Elements of Digital Citizenship into everyday classroom practice. Lesson plans, resources and classroom examples will be shared.
