AllUniversal Design for Learning is a comprehensive framework for combining best practices for teaching and learning with flexible, usable, and accessible electronic and information technologies. Recognizing that diversity is the norm in today’s classrooms, UDL provides students with alternatives in how learning is represented, how they engage in their learning, and how they express or demonstrate what they have learned.
Using the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, this introductory session will highlight practical methods of differentiating for and engaging learners through the use of multiple strategies, tools and Internet resources, creating a more accessible and flexible learning environment for all students. Please bring a fully charged laptop or similar device that will allow you to download and install programs from the Internet.
