SLAs are now completed. It is now time to unpack all the evidence gathered and determine next steps for your students.

Join us for a day of rich, professional conversations to discuss how to use this data to enhance instruction and plan for targeted interventions. Teachers in small working groups will be invited to share what is working well for them and examine how to best fill the areas for growth identified in their results. Literacy and numeracy best practices, strategies and resources will be highlighted. Teachers will leave with practical ideas to support learners in their classroom.

The conversations planned for the day will be framed around Literacy and Numeracy Key Understandings which correlate to the SLA questions:

LITERACY ELEMENTS

  • Rules of Language,
  • Acquiring Information,
  • Constructing Meaning and
  • Communicate Meaning

NUMERACY ELEMENTS

  • Quantitative Information
  • Spatial Information
  • Interpret, Represent and Communicate
  • Strategies, Methods or Tools

Grade 3 teachers are invited to bring along their teaching partners in earlier grades.

Please bring a fully charged laptop so you can access your SLA class and individual reports on the Teacher Dashboard or bring paper copies of your reports.
