Sandra Gluth is an educator with many years of experience working with students with diverse learning needs. Prior to joining Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium, Sandra was on secondment to Alberta Education as a Curriculum Manager in Inclusive Education. Sandra also worked as a learning technologies consultant with Edmonton Public Schools where she was able to combine her passion for teaching and learning with using technologies to support literacy learning and the success of all students, including those with diverse learning needs.

AllThis one-day session is designed for learning coaches, consultants and other educational specialists who will be working with teachers participating in the 2015-2016 Literacy for All Community of Practice (http://www.literacyforallab.ca). The focus of the community of practice will be on supporting emergent writers through the use of alternative pencils, making words, and a process-based writing instructional approach.
To be better able to support teachers participating in the 2015-2016 community of practice, this session will offer an opportunity for you to explore and become familiar with resources, strategies and technologies as well as the approaches the teachers will be using to support emergent and early conventional literacy in meaningful reading and writing contexts. You will also be invited to join in the Literacy for All 2015-2016 webinars.
