Research shows that formative assessment has the power to significantly improve student learning. This learning opportunity will provide practical strategies that have been classroom tested and are easy to use.

You will explore a variety of formative assessment strategies that provide evidence of student progress and will discuss how to use this evidence to inform teaching and support student learning. This session will also provide ideas for engaging students in their own learning while promoting the Cross-Curricular Competencies outlined in Inspiring Education such as knowing how to learn, critical thinking, communication and problem solving.

You will leave with a toolkit of easy to use strategies for implementing formative assessments in your own classrooms.
